Boy and Panic at the Disco. What followed was a lengthy hiatus that started in 2006, with the band

Edmonton’s Real Sickies have released their newest album “Love is for Lovers” via Stomp Records. The band serves up yet another platter full of tasty hooks and punk rock melodies, but this time around with a dash of pop that shows a leap in songwriting craft. Recorded in Edmonton at Rob Lawless’ Physics Lab Studios, the album offers songs that straddle the border between Ramones style aggression and Strokes reminiscent vocal takes. This color-vinyl release includes everything from explosive rockers to heart-wrenching ballads. “Love is for Lovers” is the whole enchilada!

Following on from the dizzying success of her last single. Abz Winter returns with her infectiously dark & dirty  track ’Money’. The song is inspired by seeing the corruption that money can have on people as they will twist and contort themselves in a self-destructing quest for fame & power.

Money takes on a generally unconventional, darker, moodier, and experimental style with its slower tempo, strong repetitive synth beat, and distinct clear vocals that altogether show off her versatility as an artist.

The lyrics; inspired by observations made by Abz about how people's desire for ‘Money’, Power & Attention as they dissemble, distract, and confuse those around them far outway their desire to be liked. Abz says “the lyrics are very relatable to the millennial age group I’m in, and we should all boss up! follow our instinct, only keep people around us that we know we can trust and cut the rest”.

Once again Abz is showing even at this young age, maturity in the intelligence & emotion of her lyrics & writing relatable songs for her generation. Also don’t forget the  mandatory hard work, grit, and determination! For one so young, This being her 3rd song in 3 months with numerous great reviews and 1000,s of streams on the first two & plenty more on the way.

The song was produced by the influential talent Matt Waddell at 14 Records & Mixed & Mastered by the musical genius El Sam at Elixir Productions.
